Ordentliche Professur für Kognitive Psychologie
Am Departement für Psychologie der Philosophischen Fakultät der Universität Freiburg (Schweiz) ist auf den 1. August 2012 eine Ordentliche Professur für Kognitive Psychologie zu besetzen.
Aufgaben
- Lehre im Bachelor- und Masterprogramm: 6 Stunden pro Woche
- Betreuung von wissenschaftlichen Qualifikationsarbeiten (Bachelor, Master, Doktorat, Habilitation)
- Entwicklung und Durchführung von Forschungsprojekten, Einwerbung von Drittmitteln
- Mitwirkung an der universitären Selbstverwaltung
- Leitung der experimental-psychologischen Übungen
Voraussetzungen
Voraussetzungen zur Bewerbung sind Doktorat und Habilitation in Psychologie (oder äquivalente Leistungen) sowie einschlägige Erfahrungen in den oben genannten Bereichen.
Die künftige Lehrstuhlinhaberin bzw. der künftige Lehrstuhlinhaber sollte durch international publizierte wissenschaftliche Arbeiten zu Fragestellungen der Kognitiven Psychologie, eingeworbene Drittmittel, einschlägige Auslandserfahrungen und eine internationale wissenschaftliche Vernetzung ausgewiesen sein. Ausserdem wird die pädagogische und didaktische Eignung vorausgesetzt.
Fribourg ist eine zweisprachige Universität mit kurzen Wegen, in der viel Wert auf Austausch und Zusammenarbeit gelegt wird. Daher sind Kooperationsbereitschaft und Teamfähigkeit erwünscht, und es werden innerhalb von zwei Jahren gute Kenntnisse der französischen Sprache erwartet.

PhD position in Cognitive Neuroscience (FPI grant)
Applications are invited for a full-time PhD research position (pre-doctoral grant for Formation of Investigators; FPI) in the Speech Production and Bilingualism (SPB) group at the Center of Brain and Cognition (CBC) at the Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona.
Project
The aim of the research group is to understand the neural and cognitive mechanisms that enable the acquisition and use of various languages, this being considered within the wider context of other cognitive skills. The SPB group aims to explore the cognitive and brain processes behind speech production and comprehension, especially in the case of bilingualism. We also attempt to understand how the linguistic system interacts with the general executive function system. We assess these various issues using behavioral and neuroimaging approaches (fMRI, ERPs), and examining the performance of both healthy and linguistically impaired individuals.
Job description
As a PhD student you will take part in one of the projects of group, founded by the Minister of Economy and Competitiveness, which is on speech comprehension in a second language. The grant is associated to the project of the “Plan Nacional I+D+i: On the active role of comprehenders in second language sentence comprehension: Anticipatory, Integrative and Inferential processes” (2012-2014).
Any development of other studies in other research fields of interest will be possible. The PhD will be supervised by Professor Albert Costa
