ESCoP Thematic Meetings in 2026

ESCoP offers partial funding for recurring meetings on specific research topics organized by its members. The Committee funds up to four meetings every two years: one satellite meeting alongside the Conference and three thematic meetings in non-conference years. This call invites applications for thematic meetings scheduled for 2026, with grants of up to 4,000 euros available for meetings that meet the following criteria:

·       The meeting must focus on a research area relevant to ESCoP.
·       Attendance should be limited to 60 participants.
·       The organizing committee must consist exclusively of ESCoP members.
·       At least 50% of senior attendees must be ESCoP members.
·       Student participation will be considered as an additional criterion.

Proposals should not exceed 1,500 words and must include

·       a topic of the activity, including relevance for ESCoP 
·       a place and date of activity 
·       the list of organizers
·       program, including names of speakers
·       intended audience (number of people, students or senior researchers, a list of ESCoP members that are willing to attend) 
·       detailed budget 

Proposals should be emailed to ESCoP Secretary Andrei Costea by September 30, 2025. The committee will review submissions and announce the results in the newsletter.
