The European Society for Cognitive Psychology (ESCoP) is pleased to announce travel grants designed to support graduate students and Early Career Researchers (ECRs) attending the Joint ESCoP-CoPM Meeting 2026 in Hangzhou, China.
We aim to award up to 10 grants of €750 each to facilitate active participation. These funds are intended to cover registration fees and travel-related expenses. While all ESCoP members are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to ESCoP Associate Members.
Application Requirements
Applications must be submitted in PDF format to the ESCoP Secretary and include the following documents:
- Curriculum Vitae (1 page): Must include your name, contact details, institution, ESCoP membership status, country, thesis supervisor, and thesis topic. Please include a short summary (max. 150 words) of your research experience, specifically highlighting your commitment to research quality (e.g., adherence to Open Science practices).
- Submitted Abstract: Include the full abstract, title, and author list. Note if the presentation is part of a symposium. Grant awards are contingent upon abstract acceptance, which will be verified by the Program Committee.
- Extended Research Summary (Max. 800 words): A detailed explanation of your research, its significance, and how it aligns with ESCoP’s core topics. You may include up to two figures or tables.
- Networking Plan (2 pages): A single-spaced document (12-point font) identifying one or two senior scientists you intend to meet at the conference. You should have contacted these individuals in advance. The plan should outline specific objectives for these meetings, such as establishing collaborations, exchanging research ideas, or seeking feedback on manuscripts or grant proposals.
