PhD position Cognitive control in selective listening, Institute of Psychology, Cognitive Psychology Unit, RWTH Aachen University, Germany

The position is linked to a DFG-funded collaborative project entitled “Age-dependent changes in mechanisms of auditory attentional shifts in selective hearing: Correlational approach to differences in auditory thresholds and experimental manipulation by hearing loss simulation”, led by Prof. Dr. Iring Koch in collaboration with Prof.Dr.-Ing. Janina Fels, Institute for Hearing Technology and Acoustics at RWTH Aachen University. Candidates should have completed a Master's degree in Psychology as well as expertise in experimental psychology and interest in cognitive psychology. We expect very good knowledge of statistics and very good command of English. Experience developing experimental paradigms (eg in PsychoPy) and computer programming experience are not mandatory, but would be helpful. German is not mandatory but would be useful.

The position is limited to three years and is intended for candidates seeking a PhD. Salary will be according to TVL-13; 75% (gross annual salary ranging between 39,000-42,000 Euro).
