Open 3-year PhD position (f/m/d) at the Psychology Department at Heidelberg University, Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Self-Regulation Lab (PI: Jan Rummel), from October 01.10.2021 (or later) onwards. Depending on qualification at application, you will be compensated according to the German public service salary scale (up to: E13 TV-L, 65%). Tasks attached to the position involve teaching seminars in experimental psychology, collaborating on research projects in cognitive psychology, as well as administrative duties.
We are looking for an excellent master’s degree in psychology as well as interest and passion for topics in experimental and cognitive psychology are required. Willingness to collaborate on the lab‘s research projects (attention, memory, future-oriented cognition) as well as training in advanced methods (cognitive statistical modeling, eye tracking, EEG,…) is desirable.
For the time being, the position is funded for three years, including dissertation opportunities in a topic of choice. In this context, our young, international, and cooperative lab will support you in general scientific working, publications, and starting your personal scientific career. Further, we provide state of the art technical equipment in our working spaces and laboratories, offering you a variety of methods for your research.
