We seek candidates for an open PhD student position at the laboratory for Cognitive and Experimental Psychology at RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany. Salary will be according to TVL-13 (65%, 3 years, funded by DFG), starting in February 2020. The position is linked to a collaborative project on “Cognitive control of auditory attention” (Iring Koch in collab. with Aureliu Lavric, Univ. of Exeter, UK). The project will focus on behavioural data but will also include EEG experiments in Aachen under supervision of Prof. Lavric. Candidates should have completed a Master’s degree in Psychology as well as expertise in experimental psychology and interest in cognitive psychology. We expect good knowledge of statistics and excellent command of English. Experience developing experimental paradigms (e.g. in E-Prime or PsychoPy or PsychToolbox, or another interface) and computer programming experience are not mandatory, but would be helpful. German is not mandatory but would be useful.
