The Institute of Linguistics at the University of Stuttgart is seeking to fill a 3-year full-time postdoc position in the research group for Psycholinguistics and Cognitive Modeling directed by Titus von der Malsburg. The successful candidate will conduct their own research in an area related to topics such as: (incremental) sentence comprehension, experimental methods (particularly eye-tracking and large-scale online experimentation), Bayesian data-analytic methods, cognitive models of language processing, and similar. The successful candidate will also assist in the management of the lab, teach two courses per term at the undergraduate and/or graduate level (in English), and occasionally supervise thesis projects. Excellent command of English is required. Basic German is useful but not essential.
The position is remunerated according to pay-grade E13 of the German collective agreement for the public service (TV-L). In addition, the lab provides funding for participation in workshops and conferences and a budget for childcare during conference travel. The start date is flexible but preferably as soon as possible. The position can be renewed by one year. Application deadline is the 31st of July 2021.
