The 8th Annual Meeting of the Society for the Cognitive Science of Culture

April 22-24, 2026

The 2026 Annual Meeting of the Society for the Cognitive Science of Culture will be held at Aix-Marseille University from April 22 to 24, organized by Chotiga Pattamadilok and Johannes Ziegler. We invite abstract submissions for 20-minute talks and posters, spanning the full spectrum of research on the relationship between cognition and culture across disciplines, including psychology, neuroscience, linguistics, education, anthropology, archaeology, and the arts. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to, literacy, numerical cognition, aesthetics, music, and perceptual as well as cognitive differences between societies, with a particular emphasis on how culture shapes the brain. 

Keynote speakers: Prof. Usha Goswami (University of Cambridge), Prof. Helmut Leder (University of Vienna), Prof. Patrick Lemaire (Aix-Marseille University), Dr. Daniele Schön (Aix-Marseille University).
