Dear ESCoP Members, as we are preparing for the upcoming 2025 ESCoP Conference, we would like to bring to your attention that some constitutional amendments will be discussed and voted upon during the next Business Meeting. The proposed changes can be consulted in advance here. Until a constitutional vote is reached, the following articles of the Constitution remain in place, as presented in the Constitution subsection of our webpage.
ESCoP invites applications for sponsoring one additional thematic meeting scheduled for 2026, offering partial funding of up to 4,000 euros per event. These meetings, organized exclusively by ESCoP members, should focus on research areas relevant to the Society and be limited to 60 participants, with at least 50% of senior attendees being ESCoP members. Student participation will also be considered in the evaluation. Submit proposals to ESCoP Secretary Andrei Costea by September 30th, 2025.
The ESCoP is thrilled to announce that we will sponsor the 11th European Working Memory Symposium (EWoMS 2026)! EWoMS is a recurring, high-profile event dedicated to the study of working memory, taking place every two years in rotating European locations. The 2026 edition is scheduled to be held in Lyon, France, from August 26th to 28th. This edition’s theme will be — Working Memory, Strategy, and Consciousness and the keynote speaker will be Alessandra Souza from Porto University.
As part of its commitment to nurture the next generation of cognitive scientists, the European Society for Cognitive Psychology (ESCoP) through its evaluation committee formed by Alessandra Souza and Vanessa Loaiza, is delighted to announce financial support for two seasonal schools that will run in 2026: Music & the Brain: from basic research to clinical and societal implications and MESEC Mediterranean Workshop on Consciousness Science.
