Academic Councillor (100% tenured civil service position), Cognitive Psychology Unit of University of Trier, Trier, Germany

The Department of Psychology at the University of Trier invites applications for a full-time Academic Councillor position (A13, probationary or tenured) in the Division of Cognitive Psychology starting on the 1st of July 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful candidate will oversee and further develop a state-of-the-art psychophysiological laboratory, equipped with 128-channel EEG combined with eye tracking, fNIRS, and tDCS, and will supervise technical staff. Responsibilities also include teaching in Psychology in accordance with the Higher Education Teaching Ordinance. Applicants should have completed a doctorate and established an independent psychophysiological research program, evidenced by international publications and competitive third-party funding, with thematic alignment to the division’s focus on perception, action, attention, and EEG oscillatory analyses. The application deadline is the 30th of March 2026.
