Fully-funded PhD position at the Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS) in Barcelona, in the group of Dr Mariana Babo-Rebelo. We'll be investigating the role of bodily signals in autobiographical memory, using virtual reality, EEG, fMRI and TMS, in healthy volunteers and patient populations. The successful candidate will join the Educational Neurosciences and Developmental Disorders (ENDD) research group at the Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language (BCBL) and conduct a PhD within the READEXP project, characterizing the reading exposome, by identifying exposure measures that affect reading performance after accounting for potential genetic confounds.
The successful candidate will join the Brain Rhythms and Cognition group at the Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language (BCBL) and conduct a PhD within the PRO-LISTEN project, investigating the neural and computational mechanisms supporting speech comprehension in challenging listening conditions.
Job description: Designing and conducting experimental research in cognitive neuroscience; Deploying and refining existing computational models of perceptual learning; Writing research papers in collaboration with the PI, aiming to publish at top-tier journals; Dissemination of results at international scientific conferences; Assisting in the supervision of Master students.
