Research on language has traditionally emphasized the dominant role of the left hemisphere. However, converging evidence from lesion studies, neuroimaging, and network-based approaches increasingly demonstrates that the right hemisphere contributes to language through both specialized linguistic processes and domain-general mechanisms.
