The 15th International Symposium on Bilingualism

Donostia-San Sebastián, Spain
9-13 June 2025

We invite submissions in all areas of bilingualism and multilingualism, linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, applied linguistics, neuropsychology, language acquisition, clinical linguistics, language and education, and multilingual societies. We invite abstracts individual papers and posters. Individual papers are formal presentations on original research or pedagogy-focused topics by one or more authors, lasting a maximum of 20 minutes with 5 additional minutes for discussion. Posters on original research or pedagogy will be displayed in 90-minute sessions that offer the opportunity for individualized, informal discussion with others in the field. Abstract submission for individual papers and posters will open on 18 September 2024 and end at 23:59 (CET) on 13 November 2024.

Cognitive Science Arena

The Cognitive Science Arena is a conference where young scientists can disseminate their scientific contributions in a friendly and cooperative environment, and challenge the senior scientists in a fruitful debate. In particular, highly innovative research ideas as well as research-in-progress are encouraged. The idea of ​​the CSA is to reverse the usual format of scientific conferences. Young researchers first: they play the starring role (no talks or posters from senior researchers are allowed), they compete for a prize for the best talk and poster voted by the audience. We would like to bring together young and promising minds now working in cognitive science and provide them with a fruitful and cooperative environment.
