We are looking for a PhD student to join our team starting July 1st, 2026. The successful applicant will work with Prof. Klaus Oberauer on a project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation entitled “Modeling Visual Working Memory”. The project's goal is to understand how visual working memory works through behavioral experiments and computational modeling. 

At the earliest possible date, we are looking to support our team: a research assistant with a focus on research - cognitive psychology (75 %) in the project “Cognitive mechanisms of practice-related improvements in dual-task performance: Task automatization and the dual-task practice advantage” funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The project is led by Prof. Dr. Tilo Strobach. The project is limited to 36 months.

The Statistics in Psychology Team at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) is looking for a highly motivated PhD candidate. The post involves research and teaching-related tasks. The team studies the cognitive processes underlying the production, comprehension, and learning of language, their links with other cognitive functions and their evolution across the life span.
